The Local Cafe – Somewhat accessible, but you must be able to walk steps to purchase food at the window and use the restroom. However, the outside dining is at ground level with no steps.

The Local Cafe is less than a 15 minute drive from Granbury Square, but well worth the drive if you are looking for a more local flavor. The casual menu is interesting and delicious, featuring unique salads, sandwiches and burgers. The food is prepared using only the finest ingredients, some sourced locally and some grown at the restaurant. Love the farm to table concept and that dogs are allowed!
You will need to be able to walk steps in order to get to the window to order your food. However, if unable to walk, you can sit in the outside dining area to wait for your food if you bring a helpful friend!
A ladies room is on-site, but again you will need to be able to walk steps to get there. A port-a-potty is set up for the men. Parking can be problematic for those who have difficulty walking and you may prefer the driver to leave you at the entrance before parking.
The Local Cafe is a delightful spot with a fun atmosphere and an eclectic decor. Those with mobility issues will be OK here as long as you are able to walk some up steps. Wheelchair users might find navigating this restaurant more difficult. However, the wonderful staff will do what they can to make you comfortable for help needed – they are more than happy to help their patrons enjoy the outdoor space!
